Financial Experts and Industry Giants Unite to Support

Liu Taiying and Zhang Pingzhao Attend Yangkang Asset Opening Ceremony, Encouraging the Creation of a New Chapter for Taiwan’s Capital Market

At the opening ceremony of Yangkang Asset Management Co., Ltd. held at the Regent Taipei Hotel, two heavyweight figures from the political and business arenas—Dr. Liu Taiying, founder of the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research and former Executive Yuan Councillor, and Mr. Zhang Pingzhao, Honorary Chairman of the Taiwan General Chamber of Commerce and former legislator—delivered insightful keynote speeches. They shared expectations and advice for Taiwanese enterprises heading towards the international market from perspectives of macro strategy, institutional building, and capital operations, which resonated strongly with the hundred-plus corporate leaders and financial professionals present.

Liu Taiying: Building a “Capital Overseas Fleet” to Guide Enterprises from Taipei to Silicon Valley

Dr. Liu Taiying, known as the “Financial Guru,” spans political, academic, and industrial fields. He has served as chairman of the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research, director of the National Science Council, and Executive Yuan Councillor. As a key driver of Taiwan’s industrial upgrading and capital reform, he noted that the establishment of Yangkang Asset comes at a crucial time of global capital and supply chain restructuring, urging Taiwanese companies to seize the opportunity and proactively deploy in overseas markets.
He emphasized, “Going public overseas is not fleeing but a ticket for enterprises to enter the global dialogue. Yangkang Asset’s combination of venture capital and financial advisory expertise is well-positioned to help companies reduce uncertainties, improve international transparency, and build Taiwan’s own capital overseas fleet.”
Dr. Liu believes that Taiwan must develop into Asia’s asset management hub by strengthening compliance experience and platform integration. He expects Yangkang to play dual roles as a “capital internationalization accelerator” and “institutional advisor,” helping mid-sized enterprises overcome capital and institutional bottlenecks and shine on the world stage.

Zhang Pingzhao: Institutions and Integrity Are the Foundation for Sustainable Enterprises

Mr. Zhang Pingzhao, current Honorary Chairman of the Taiwan General Chamber of Commerce, has long been committed to promoting the institutional development of Taiwan’s industry. A former legislator and chairman of the National Chamber of Commerce, he has deep practical and policy experience in corporate governance, policy formulation, and international alignment. In his speech, he stressed, “Institutions and integrity are always the core assets of enterprises.”
Chairman Zhang pointed out that companies must rely not only on products but also on institutions to secure a foothold in the international capital market. He explained, “A company with transparent information, rigorous contracts, and a governance structure, even if small in scale, can earn trust in the international market.”
He particularly acknowledged Yangkang Asset’s future role: “Not just assisting companies to go public, but helping them stand firm and last long.” He encouraged Yangkang to become a platform integrating legal, financial, venture capital, and international capital, promoting comprehensive upgrades from internal governance to external fundraising, and establishing a common language between Taiwan and international capital markets.

Connecting Asia and the U.S. Capital Markets

The speeches from these two heavyweight guests injected profound strategic significance into Yangkang Asset’s opening, affirming its important role as a promoter of capital internationalization for Asian enterprises. Yangkang Asset will continue to build on the foundations of systems, professionalism, and trust, working with international partners to help Taiwanese enterprises embrace the global capital market wave and step onto the world stage.
